Joe Merchant, the title character, is the missing and presumed dead rock star. His sister, Trevor Kane has returned to Florida to enlist the help of her old flame, Frank Bama, to check out rumors of Merchant’s survival or demise. An entire franchise has evolved from this album, including a food chain, Cheeseburger in Paradise.
